September Monthly Update, Hot Tips & Celebrations!
Hey friends!
It is time for another monthly update for our schools for Canvas ME! It’s going to be September, I cannot believe we are into the fall months now, the year is going by so very fast! A couple of things…
First thing as always, we have our National School Launch for our students and our schools to join to be onboarded to the Canvas ME platform. Again, this is where we will walk you through the portfolio and help you get your portfolio started in the most dynamic way. So that launch is going to be Wednesday, September 6th, and so we do have the registration included- get registered now!
Next, the national opportunity shout out of the month is for Madison Reed! Madison Reed has a number of opportunities on the platform and they are all across the country. They are THE hair color bars of the industry. They have a really cool model and are looking to add to their teams.
I also want to remind you of the Redken Safe Space Course that is available on the Canvas ME platform, through Canvas U. We are proud to offer this course, as a benefit to our community of schools, to support the LGBTQ+ community in the salons and in the industry. Your students can become certified through Safe Space and add badges to their portfolios! This badge will signify that they took the time and put in the extra energy to elevate their knowledge and careers. Salons can do this too!
Finally, we want to shout out one of our newest school partners, the Ogle School Group in Texas- they are running an amazing competition for their instructors and educators. It’s a great opportunity to get more involvement from staff and they were so generous to allow us to share this idea with our network. Their flyer can be seen in the video below- the instructors are creating their own Canvas ME portfolios and are getting the buzz out to their students and are practicing exactly what they expect from their students. This is an awesome takeaway for all school partners- get those teachers involved! Come up with your own idea and we will celebrate you!
